Moscato d'Asti DOCG

Vigna Vecchia

Di colore giallo paglierino, gli aromi di acacia si intrecciano con sentori di salvia, rosmarino e muschio, con note fruttate per un finale di mela verde, pesca e albicocca.

A wine that captures the soul of the land and the spirit of its caretakers.

Imagine a vineyard nestled in the heart of Piedmont, Italy, where time-honored traditions and the magic of winemaking intertwine. Here, amidst the rolling hills and sun-dappled vines, the story of Cadgal’s Vigna Vecchia Moscato d’Asti unfolds.
Una storia di eredità, artigianalità e una passione duratura per l'eccellenza.
In this serene setting, the vines that produce Vigna Vecchia have thrived for over six decades. Their gnarled branches bear witness to the passage of time, each twist and turn telling a story of resilience and dedication. It is from these venerable vines that the essence of Vite Vecchia is born, a wine that captures the soul of the land and the spirit of its caretakers.

Harvested by hand with meticulous care,
the grapes are treated to a unique
aging process that sets Vigna Vecchia apart.

After a careful selection, a portion of the grapes undergo an “appassimento” method, gently drying to concentrate their flavors. The wine is then aged for up to 60 months, resting in wooden crates and buried beneath river sand. This unconventional method imbues the wine with an unparalleled complexity, allowing it to develop layers of aroma and taste that are nothing short of extraordinary.

The lively and fine perlage harmonizes with its sugary presence and persistent freshness. This wine maintains an adrenaline-inducing character with vegetal undertones.

VINIFICATION

Soft pressing of the freshest grapes with good acidity, fermentation in stainless steel autoclaves at controlled temperatures between 16/18°C until the optimal production of the perlage and the achievement of 5% ABV.
